Favorite Christmas Memories with My Brother!

There are so so many special memories of Christmas with Johnny. Like picking out our Christmas tree every year. We could not wait to go to the Christmas tree farm to get our tree. We both loved to decorate the tree. We would put on some Christmas music and just laugh and have a great time decorating the tree. (maybe even have a little fight over the ornaments too:-) One year when we were older and could drive ourselves, Mom and Dad must have been gone or something, they gave us money to go get a Christmas tree. So Jim, Johnny and I went to the Christmas tree farm. HAHAHA we could pick out which ever one we wanted and they werent there to tell us no. LOL. We came home with a HUGE tree. It wouldn't even stand up in the tree stand. We had to put it in the corner so we could lean it up against the wall for support. That was great. Going back in time a little. I remember when every Christmas Eve Johnny would sleep in my room because we were just so excited we had to be together. We would be awake most of the night talking and giggling then wake up super early to see what Santa had brought us. There are so many more great memories that I could share but I'll save those for next year. Christmas was always very special at our house. I wish we had all those years on video so we could watch them now with our girls. I can only tell them about the wonderful Christmases that Johnny and I had when we were kids. Thank you Mom and Dad for all the wonderful memories!

Happy 31st Birthday in Heaven Johnny!

Today would have been Johnny's 31st birthday. Its so weird to think that it has been 10 years now since we celebrated a birthday with him. It seems like just yesterday he was here. Lucky for him he will never grow old. LOL. The rest of us keep getting older and older. I miss you so much my Bro. I would have called you today and probably sang out of tune happy birthday to you just like we did on each others birthdays every year. I miss that. I know you are having a great day today in heaven. We love you sooo much and cant wait to be with you again someday soon.

Love Trisha, Jim, Mom, Dad, Ally, Megan, Malia and Jena

This is our group picture from the Bowl for Breath this last Sat. We had a really great turn out for our first year running it and raised a little over $12,000 for CF. Thank you to everyone who had a part in making this day a great success. Next year will be even better.

Bowl For Breath Nov 8, 2008

Hello everyone, Bowl for Breath 2008 is just around the corner.
Please give to this worthy cause. We celebrate on this day Johnny's Birthday, with our gift to him to continue the Fight for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

I have a special prayer request.
Many of you know Benny from our church. Benny has Cystic Fibrosis and was evaluated for a double lung transpant this week. Please pray for him, as I know he is very frightened by all the unknown. Please also be an encouragement to him.
Remember as we PUSHED4JOHNNY now we need to PUSH4BENNY

Celebrating Johnny's life Nov 12,1977-July 21,1999

You know I was kinda sad that I don't have any new pictures of Johnny to share, and then I remember he is in a land "Where we'll never grow old". Johnny will be young and how old will we be?
He is with his Grandma(Nana) he loved so much, his grandfather's he never knew on earth (Marv Sr and A.D.) He is singing and probably playing his drums in heaven. Are there drums? Can't you just see him? He's rejoicing in a place where he's singing "I'm going to live forever". We here on earth are just sad because we miss him so much. Don't you want to know what will he look like "When we all get to Heaven". Will he be as young as when he left here nine years ago and will we be old!!!!!! Ha!Ha!
We have gotten older and someone is going to be 40 this year. I don't know who(Chris) (Sorry Chris, but had to laugh at your expense so I would stop crying). Just wait the ribbing has only begun Chris. Someone else real special will be 60, I just really love old people(Clark). You know I love you or I wouldn't tease you!
But do you ever wonder about these things? I just know Johnny is happy, sitting

"At the Feet of Jesus". Getting all the answers to the questions he has. Is he fatter? He's healthier, but was so skinny and sick here. Trisha says he's sitting with Grandma, having some cinnamon bread, Pepsi and having a burping contest, like when we went to Lake Isabella to see them.

When we were planning Johnny's funeral, Greg shared this story with us. Johnny and Greg discussed that when they died they wanted this song played at their funeral. Johnny said, Greg I will probably die before you so make sure they play this. This song was played at the gravesite.

GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN (Vince Gill)

I know your life
On earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain
You weren't afraid to face the devil
You were no stranger to the rain.
Chorus:
Go rest high on that mountain
Son, your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and Son.

Oh, how we cried the day you left us
We gathered 'round your grave to grieve
I wish I could see the angels' faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing.
Go rest high on that mountain
Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and Son.

Go rest high on that mountain
Cause, son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and Son.
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and Son...

Can't you hear Johnny shoutin'? He would say to you, don't grieve for me, just "Prepare to meet thy God". Don't you want to go? Are you ready to go? If the Lord came back today would you be prepared? Would he find you faithful?

We love you all, you have always been here for us.
Please "Share A Blessing "with us

John, Esther, Trisha, Jim, Alexis, Megan, Malia and Jena
